This year, we had the incredible opportunity to gather for our annual Founder's Day Breakfast, celebrating 52 years of home building and remodeling at Dale Koontz - Builder. It was a special occasion to reflect on our achievements, recognize our hardworking team, and set our sights on an exciting future along side our vendors and business partners.

Dale and Donna Koontz built this company with a vision: to create high-quality homes and renovations while upholding values of integrity, professionalism, and craftsmanship. Today, under the leadership of Tim, Scott, and Matthew Koontz, that mission remains as strong as ever.

Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Accomplishments

Last year was a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust of our clients. We successfully completed nearly 80 projects, including:

7 New Homes
2 Apartment Buildings (8 Units)
8 Whole House Renovations / Additions
3 Basements, 4 Kitchens, and 9 Bathroom Renovations
9 Outdoor Projects
7 Commercial Projects
29 Additional Jobs ranging from exterior repairs, concrete work, painting, and more.

We're excited to announce our 2025 Partner of the Year, Extreme Exterior Pros Inc.! Extreme has had a tremendous impact on our production schedule and capacity and we love their "can do" attitude when it comes to getting the job done. Strong partnerships help us deliver top-tier results, and we are grateful for every vendor, subcontractor, and supplier who supports our mission.

Looking Ahead: Opportunities and Challenges in 2025

As we step into 2025, we recognize both challenges and opportunities in the industry. Key considerations for the year ahead include:

Subcontractor capacity and the ongoing need to grow the trades
Potential tariffs and their impact on material costs
Interest rates and their influence on the housing market

Despite these challenges, we see strong opportunities in the Quincy area, with promising land developments, including Phase II of Vista Way, available lots in Drakewood, and a new site at 36th & Harrison. Additionally, our sold projects for 2025 include:

A custom home in Spring Lake
A custom home in Tuscany subdivision
Hannibal Apartments – 4 units to be completed and another foundation to be placed in Q4
Numerous small and medium residential and commercial projects.
