Saying Thanks by Serving

Koontz team serving the community on various Boards

At Dale Koontz - Builder (DKB) we say that one of our core values is Professionalism.  By that we mean that we will use professional methods and best practices; we will continually educate ourselves about our industry and new products; it also means that we will contribute to our community - as we expect all thriving and well-run businesses to do.

At Koontz Builder that means we follow in our founders footsteps and serve our community by serving on charitable Boards.  Dale served at his church, on the City of Quincy Plan Commission and in multiple roles for the Home Builders Association.  Dale's son Tim has served for almost 20 years on boards for Blessing Hospital and Blessing Corporate Services.  Dale's son Scott just completed his service to the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and is a founding member of the Chamber's new Foundation Board.   Scott also will be joining the Board for the Community Foundation of the Quincy Area in 2025.

3rd generation members of DKB also are beginning to jump into community service.  Dale's grandson, Matt Koontz, is currently serving on the Board of the Transitions Association and Matt's brother in law, Taylor Hockman, will join the Chamber of Commerce Board in 2025.

These hours of service aren't about building our remodeling, custom home or apartment businesses.  Instead, we simply seek to give back to our community - a community that has given so much to us.
