Defining Integrity

What does Integrity mean to Dale Koontz - Builder?

If you've been around a Dale Koontz - Builder job site, you may have seen any number of our team wearing t-shirts or sweatshirts with the company logo.  In addition to that logo, the shirts include our 3 Core Values: Integrity, Professionalism and Quality Craftsmanship.  It's easy to slap some good sounding words on an article of clothing; the real question is "What does it actually mean to anyone?"

The short answer to what "Integrity" means for us is this: We do what we say we are going to do.

For our team this plays out in multiple ways in a given week

  • If we tell you that we will be there at 7:30am on Monday, we will be there at 7:30am on Monday
  • If we include in the estimate that you get 2 panel, solid core doors, then you will get 2 panel, solid core doors
  • If we set a contract at $15,500, then your bill will be $15,500 plus or minus any changes that you requested during the project

These examples may seem exceedingly simple and self-evident, but we continually hear from our customers that they can't count on every business to conduct themselves in this manner.  Starting in 1973, Dale Koontz built a business that operates with Integrity.  And he did it following the simple idea that "we do what we say we are going to do".
