Dale Koontz receives Hall of Fame Honor

Company founder inducted into the Quincy Area Chamber's Business HoF

Dale Koontz, founder of Dale Koontz - Builder, Inc., was inducted into the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame on Friday, April 23rd.

"We could not be more thrilled" said Scott Koontz.  "This is such a great honor for my dad."  Scott and his brother Tim accepted the award on behalf of their late father.  Dale was described as "a simple farm kid" and a "humble man, who would have been a bit shocked" at all the attention he was receiving.

Current company president, Tim Koontz, acknowledged the contributions made by Dale's wife Donna - who served as the compay's bookkeeper for more than 35 years - as well as the service of several long term employees.  Brothers Dave and Paul Tieman were in attendance; they served Dale's building company for 47 and 44 years respectively before both retired during 2020.

Dale Koontz - Builder has changed the landscape of the city of Quincy by the construction of multiple subdivisions, hundreds of homes and multiple apartment buildings.  The Business Hall of Fame recognizes men and women who have made lasting contributions to the Quincy area business community.
