Defining Integrity

What does integrity mean to a home building company?

Dale Koontz – Builder has built its reputation as Quincy’s top builder and remodeler on 3 key principles: Integrity, professionalism and quality craftsmanship.  These ideas have been the bedrock of our business plan since 1973.

But how do you define “integrity”?  What does it really mean?  The dictionary definition is as follows:
the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.  Famous Christian author C. S. Lewis used this phrase to describe integrity: Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

As a custom home builder and remodeler here’s what we think integrity means:

                We put in writing what we will do; then we do it

                We show up when we say we will show up

                We charge what we told you we would charge

                We don’t hide our mistakes, but we do fix them

                We treat people the way that we would want to be treated

This may not seem like a “magic” formula, but we have found over the years that if we follow through on these basic promises, our business will be off to a great start.
