We're Hiring - Again!

Busy times call for more hands

Dale Koontz - Builder is looking to hire a person to help with concrete and framing work on its new home and remodel projects in the Quincy area.  We will be losing a valuable member of our team later this year as he moves away to help take care of a family member - this means that we will need an extra hand to complete all the work we have sold.

Preference will be given to the person with 3-5 years of construction experience.

Concrete/Framing Laborer Job Description – Dale Koontz Builder

Job brief:

As a laborer for Dale Koontz – Builder, Inc. you will be part of our team working on custom homes and remodels within a 30 mile radius of the Quincy, IL area.  This person will work with framing carpenters to produce a finished product that meets the specifications provided to the homeowner; the laborer will be responsible as part of the team for completing the job to company standards, while maintaining a positive, professional relationship with the customer(s).

Position type and hours of work:

This is a full time position.  Current work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with ½ hour lunch break.  Work hours may be adjusted to meet job demands.

Skills:

Prepare subgrade, assist in placing and finishing flat concrete

Assemble and nail together interior and exterior walls, stair treads/risers

Cut and install wall and roof sheeting

Assist in the setting of floor systems, roof trusses and rafter installation

Install Styrofoam, fiberglass and foam insulation

Install aluminum soffit and vinyl siding

Assist in demo and reframing of remodel projects

Job site cleanup

Compensation and benefits:

Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience in the industry.  Company benefits also include paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, 80% of health insurance paid by the company, 401k retirement plan and profit sharing.
