Painter Job Description – Dale Koontz Builder

 

Job brief:

As a painter for Dale Koontz – Builder, Inc. you will be part of our team working on custom homes and remodels within a 30 mile radius of the Quincy, IL area.  The painter will lead or work with helpers and carpenters to produce a finished product that meets the specifications provided to the homeowner; the painter will be responsible as part of the team for completing the job to company standards, while maintaining a positive, professional relationship with the customer(s).

 

Position type and hours of work:

This is a full time position.  Current work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with ½ hour lunch break.  Work hours may be adjusted to meet job demands.

 

Skills:

Paint with brush and roller, including excellent cut in skills

Finish painted trim with caulk and spackle

Operate airless and air-assisted paint sprayers

Complete minor drywall repairs or complete small drywall finish jobs

Understand stain and lacquer techniques for a variety of woods, including matching existing millwork

Compensation and benefits:

Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience in the industry.  Company benefits also include paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, 80% of health insurance paid by the company, 401k retirement plan, profit sharing and an employer paid health clinic at Blessing Health System.
