Happy Birthday to us!

Celebrating 41 years in business on March 1

Many of us have reached an age where another birthday is greeted with consternation. However at Dale Koontz - Builder we couldn't be happier to be celebrating another birthday - another year in the home building and remodeling business serving our clients in the Quincy area.

On March 1, 1973 Dale Koontz hired his first employee and set out to work.  They promptly got rained out for the first few days!  Since that inauspicious beginning, though, there has been plenty of work and lots of happy customers.  As sons Tim and Scott Koontz carry on the family business into its 42nd year, they look back fondly at the first days of the company.

"My dad started his business when I was 8 and my brother was 5 years old," says Scott, "we've always been around the building industry".  Now with Dale's grandson, Matt Koontz, working with the crew, the 3rd generation of Koontz men joins the family business.  

On this particular birthday, it appears that snow and cold will be an obstacle (not rain, as in 1973); but if history is our guide, the Koontz family expects to keep right on building, satisfying their clients and burnishing their reputation as the Quincy area's best builder and remodeler.
