New faces for Summer 2014, and Beyond

2 interns and 2 new full time additions to Koontz team

Dale Koontz Builder is pleased to formally announce the addition of several members to our team.

These 4 men come to us from a variety of backgrounds and will be employed for various lengths of time in different positions.  We welcome to the Koontz team:

Summer intern in construction – Joe Smith

Joe has joined us for the summer of 2014 as an intern working in the field to expand his knowledge of the construction industry.  A native of Camp Point, IL, Joe is studying at John Wood Community College in their Construction Technology program.  Last summer we employed a couple interns from JWCC and they were valuable contributors, so we look forward to working with Joe this year and teaching him a few of our “tricks of the trade”.

Summer intern for systems and rental property – Sam Triplett

Sam has recently completed his 3rd year at the University of Missouri in Columbia and is interested in the areas of Finance, Real Estate and Business Management.   We are pleased that he will be our first ever intern outside of the construction field.  Sam will be assisting us in developing better internal administrative systems and in evaluating our rental property business.  Sam will be with us for the summer before returning to Columbia for his senior year at Mizzou.

Carpenter/Painter – Kent Mowen

Our newest full time carpenter has more than 23 years of experience with finish work in custom homes.  Kent Mowen has joined the Koontz team and is adding depth to an area that was already a strong suit for us.  Although he has only been with us a short while, Kent has begun to demonstrate his exceptional skills as a carpenter and our clients have been duly impressed.  Kent lives in the Liberty area and is a motorcycle enthusiast.

Carpenter/Painter/Rental Property – Matthew Koontz

Having just earned his Associate’s Degree in Construction Technology from John Wood Community College, Matthew Koontz becomes the 3rd generation of the family to join Dale Koontz Builder.  Matthew has been employed as part of the family business since 2008, but joins us now full time.  He will be working in different facets of the business on both the construction side, as well as with the Koontz Properties rental business.  His grandfather, founder Dale Koontz, is very pleased to see his grandson joining the family affair.

We hope that you will join us in welcoming all these new team members – and we encourage you to follow our Facebook page for pictures and updates on the new hires.
